The Most Expensive Blog (The home of the most expensive & luxury things in the world) presents The world's most expensive quad bike.

Mean machine: The quad bike is on the market for
a staggering £170,000, making it the most expensive in the world

It may look impressive and worth an eye-watering £170,000, but the world’s most expensive quad bike can’t even be driven on the road.

Manufacturers Lazareth say that the Wazuma V8 is so powerful it is purely a track-only vehicle.

Designed and produced by Lazareth, they have now put the one-off machine for sale on the luxury website JamesList - an Auto Trader for billionaires.

Manufactured this year, Lazareth describes the quad as an 'atypical three-wheel vehicle', with the rear two wheels linked together.

Weighing in at a relatively light 650kg, the expensive vehicle is able to reach travel at high speeds.

Its makers say the powerful 250bhp engine means its can reach more than 150pmh on the clock.

On the JamesList advert it says 'All the engine management can be modified and monitored with a computer.'

To complement the high-performance engine and gearbox, the Wazuma also has huge Brembo brakes and a unique, made-to-measure suspension.

It also uses huge 18-inch wheels with racing slick tyres.

It has been crafted with an impressive mix of names, with an engine fitted by Ferrari and a six speed gearbox, controlled by the handlebars from a BMW M3.

A spokesperson for the company said: 'The Wazuma offers matchless driving sensations with a unique design. It is designed to be simple, aggressive and high-performance. It is first of all a masterpiece of engineering, a sculpture.'

The Most Expensive Blog (The home of the most expensive & luxury things in the world) presents Kim Kardashian is Shaking up Dubai; Unveils the Most Expensive ‘Kim Shake’.

American socialite, Kim Kardashian, and her mother Kris Jenner launched the world's most expensive milkshake in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Friday. Kardashian, 30, was in the UAE to unveil the brand's - "Millions of Milkshakes" - first foray, in partnership with the Emirates Hospitality Group of Dubai, into the country.

Kardashian and her mother, Jenner, created a signature "Kim Shake" at the opening ceremony in a mall in Dubai, on Oct. 14. "Kim Shake" is touted as the most expensive milkshake on offer, with numerous healthier options like Banana, Pineapple and Strawberry Shakes with rainbow sprinkles and Ferrero-Rocher chocolates, vanilla ice-cream and caramel shake. Kardashian made a shake of strawberries, bananas and pineapples for her fans.

At the press conference earlier in the day, Kardashian said she was "so happy to be in Dubai, with my mom to launch my new shake." It is believed that this is the socialite's first official visit to the Middle East.

"I'm obsessed with Dubai," she tweeted earlier, "I love Arabic food, and Arabic music,'

The curvaceous and sexy star of her own reality show, "Keeping up with the Kardashians" is extremely health conscious.

"I'm very health-conscious, so I've chosen a fruity and nutritious drink that I hope my fans enjoy," said Kardashian, at the press conference.

The star's mother, Kris Jenner, said, "My milkshake is chocolate and caramel-based, as I have always had a sweet tooth!"

"Kim and I have always wanted to see the Middle East. We had heard so much about Dubai, and we are absolutely thrilled to be here. Kim and I have been blown away by the warm welcome from the people of the UAE," she added.

The stunning model Kardashian is also hoping to "learn about the fashion."

"I'd love to take some of their influence back with me, I mean I have my own Kardashian collection clothing line so I would love fashion from another place to inspire me," she told TradeArabia.

The reality star has tried her hand in everything from modeling, reality television, endorsements and designer clothing. In addition, her foray into off-beat businesses like this one has completely set her apart from all her competitors.

For celebrities like Kim Kardashian money-making possibilities are endless; it seems that almost anything they venture into turns out to be a super-hit, whether it is a product they're endorsing or anything else.

Kardashian, who recently got married to NBA player Kris Humphries, is exploring several possibilities, along with her husband, to expand their business and its dimensions.

They are already "looking into future UAE and Gulf locations for the next Millions of Milkshakes outlet," confirmed ldaba Saif Al Darmaki, the Chairman of Emirates Hospitality.

The Most Expensive Blog (The home of the most expensive & luxury things in the world) presents Diamond Smoke Stubbers.

The Burj Al Arab Ashtray is One of the Most Expensive Hotel Gifts Around

There is a great chance that the Burj Al Arab ashtray could be the most expensive ashtray ever created. This luxurious ashtray is available from the gift shop of the Middle Eastern hotel and retails for an astounding $7,250.

What makes the Burj Al Arab ashtray so expensive are the three diamonds expertly set into it. This instantly transforms this ashtray from just another giftshop trinket into the ultimate indicator of wealth. The Burj Al Arab ashtray can be purchased from the hotel, where rooms are priced at four-figures nightly, or from the website of Opulent Items. With a shipping time of only seven to 12 weeks, I would call this ashtray an epic steal of a deal.

The Most Expensive Blog (The home of the most expensive & luxury things in the world) presents $9.4 Million Smartphones.

Stuart Hughes' iPhone 4S Elite Gold is the World's Most Expensive Phone

The iPhone 4S Elite Gold is the cream of the crop when it comes to smartphones. Touted as the world’s most expensive phone, it is worth a mind-boggling $9.4 million. Considering that it is made by the same person who brought us the iPad 2 Gold History Edition worth $8.5 million and Victoria Beckham’s coveted $35,400 iPhone, it is only natural that the iPhone 4S Elite Gold surpass them both.

Stuart Hughes’ indulgent phone is handmade out of rose gold with 500 individual flawless diamonds. It comes in a chest made out of platinum bedazzled with rare stones and even polished pieces of original T-Rex bones. Only two models of the ultra-luxurious iPhone 4S Elite Gold models were made.

The Most Expensive Blog (The home of the most expensive & luxury things in the world) presents Roger Vivier Buys Most Expensive Shoe.

In an amusingly ironic twist, Roger Vivier, one of the fashion industry's giants, has bought the world's most expensive shoe - an original pair designed by Monsieur Vivier himself. The damage? A cool US$26,629.06, making it one for the books.

The French luxury accessories and footwear label bought the vintage pair, which was designed and constructed in 1962 for Princess Soraya, the widow of the late Shah of Iran. The House acquired the shoes at an auction of Roger Vivier’s personal trove on November 30.

The world's most expensive shoes are low heeled silver threaded embroidered pumps encrusted with topaz. The shoe sale is part of ongoing efforts by the French Shoe Federation, the French State and the current Roger Vivier generation of leaders - Tod’s owner Diego della Valle, Artistic director Bruno Frisoni and brand ambassador Ines de la Fressange - to safekeep shoes from Roger Vivier's extensive personal archive.

The Most Expensive Blog (The home of the most expensive & luxury things in the world) presents World’s most expensive car crash.

A fleet of luxury sportscars has been involved in one of the most expensive accidents in history after an astonishing multi-car pile-up in Japan.

The wreck included several Ferrari 355s, Ferrari F430s, Ferrari F360, Ferrari F512, Lamborghini Diablo and three Mercedes models as well as a Nissan Skyline.

The Ferrari driver reportedly lost control round a wet curve of China Road in Yamaguchi Prefecture when he hit a median creating a catastrophic chain reaction.

Police said some of the drivers belonged to a group of luxury car enthusiasts from Kyushu island who had gathered to tour the area together.

There were no serious injuries to any of the drivers, aged between 37 and 60, though 10 were taken to hospital.

Even a used Ferrari in Japan can fetch $100,000 or more, meaning the total damage may be $1 million or more.

Check the video below to see images of the wreck from a Japanese TV report.

The Most Expensive Blog (The home of the most expensive & luxury things in the world) presents The Clasp by Stefano Canturi is the World’s Most Expensive Purse.

The Clasp by Stefano Canturi is a high-end handbag with a price tag of $780,000. The luxurious piece is handcrafted by the jeweler, and inspired by the roaring ‘20s art deco era. The Clasp bag is modeled after a famous Erté illustration completed for a George White’s Scandals revue in the late 1920s.

The ultra-delicate and highly detailed creation is made up of diamonds, sapphires and rubies along with 18k gold and black sapphire pearl embellishments. This $780,000 stunning bag is a piece commissioned to commemorate the style of Erté, and is on display in his home city of St. Petersburg.

While some may argue that this accessory is overpriced, others deem it as priceless due to the artful nature and delicate details that truly make it one-of-a-kind.

The Most Expensive Blog (The home of the most expensive & luxury things in the world) presents The Andreas Gursky 'Rhein II' is the World's Most Expensive Picture.

The Andreas Gursky ‘Rhein II’ photograph recently sold at a Christie’s auction for a record $4.3 million, beating the previous record of $3.8 million.

The Andreas Gursky ‘Rhein II’ picture is worth more than a thousand words. In fact, it is worth more than $4.3 million, not too shabby for an extremely minimalist (and somewhat boring) landscape shot. The German born photographer is well known for his architecture and landscape color photographs. Surprisingly, Gursky is no stranger to selling multimillion dollar photographs. At a Sotheby’s London auction in 2007, a Gursky photograph fetched a whopping $3.3 million, which was a world record at the time.

Safe to say Gursky will be financially stable as long as collectors keep shelling out millions for his work.

The Most Expensive Blog (The home of the most expensive & luxury things in the world) presents Paul Wittamer Crafts Chocolate Fetching a $240,000 Price Tag.

This stunning $240,000 diamond-garnished chocolate praline is the result of a collaboration between celebrated chocolatier Paul Wittamer and the meticulous jeweler Fabienne Lascar. Chocolate always feels like a luxury with its irresistible velvety texture and over-the-top sumptuous mouth feel, but this diamond-studded stunner is a cut above.

Created in Brussels, Belgium, this exquisite chocolate praline takes the classic combination of dark ganache and caramel to the next level adding spicy and exotic accents of ginger and opulent edible gold leaf. Paul Wittamer and Fabienne Lascar collide with a chocolate that is accompanied by a single 3.63-carat diamond. It is not clear whether or not the chocolate’s proximity to a sumptuous diamond heightens the flavor profile of the tasty treat or is simply an added touch of decadence.

Paired with a distracting piece of bling, the world’s most expensive chocolate praline makes for one opulent dessert.

The Most Expensive Blog (The home of the most expensive & luxury things in the world) presents Golden Christmas tree on display in Tokyo.

A nearly two million dollar golden Christmas tree has been put on display for the holiday season in Tokyo.

Tokyo’s jewellery store Ginza Tanaka unveiled its 2.4 meters tall Golden Christmas Tree, which is made from 12 kilograms of pure gold, worth 1.95 million US dollars.

It took 15 craftsmen four and a half months to complete the creation. The store says it’s the most expensive Christmas tree they’ve ever created.

The jeweler had created a $1,500,000 golden Christmas tree in 2008, but he’s managed to top himself this year.

The company had previously created the golden Mount Fuji, A gold Stitch and a Gold Mickey Mouse statue, a golden calendar, a gold beer mug and a Golden Tokyo Tower.

The Christmas tree will be on display from Nov. 22 through Dec. 25 at the store… But Ginza Tanaka has no intention of selling the lavish piece of art!

Emirates Palace, a seven-star hotel in Abu Dhabi, also unveiled a 13-metre fake evergreen tree in its lobby worth about $11 million last holiday season.

The Most Expensive Blog (The home of the most expensive & luxury things in the world) presents Singapore family books $1 million Virgin space flight.

A Singaporean businessman, his wife and two children have paid $1 million to become the first Asian family to fly together on space-tourism airline Virgin Galactic.

“I had lunch yesterday with a guy who got in touch with us in Singapore, and over lunch he signed his contract for not just a seat, but for a whole flight,” Virgin Galactic commercial director Stephen Attenborough said.

Attenborough said the customer handed over a cheque for $1 million and asked to remain anonymous because “apparently he hasn’t told his wife yet.”

“So he is going to become, or he and his family will become, the first family from Asia to become astronauts together,” Attenborough said.

Virgin Galactic has sold bookings since 2005 at $200,000 per seat even though it has not yet set a firm timetable for space flights to be launched from New Mexico.

Attenborough told AFP in an interview that the Singaporean businessman chartered one exclusive flight for his family on the six-seat aircraft SpaceShipTwo.

The SpaceshipTwo is designed to be launched by a transport plane called White KnightTwo and will be guided by a rocket motor before gliding back to Earth.

Nine out of nearly 500 tickets sold worldwide had been bought by customers in Singapore, which has one of Asia’s highest concentrations of millionaires.

Customers from the Asia-Pacific region now account for “approximately 15 percent” of ticket sales despite a ban on Virgin Galactic selling seats in China.

“The space vehicle is US technology and they fall under a set of regulations in the United States which means that there are some countries where at the moment we’re not permitted to sell tickets,” he explained.

In anticipation of burgeoning future demand for space tourism, Attenborough said Virgin Galactic had already ordered more spacecraft.

The Most Expensive Blog (The home of the most expensive & luxury things in the world) presents The World’s Most Expensive Lunch Box.

Japanese Department store Takashimaya is selling three commemorative gold boxes for New Year “Osechiryori” food delicacies to mark its 180th anniversary.

The luxury lunch boxes, with three layers, are made from 18-karat gold and weigh 3.35 kilograms.

Takashimaya said it is selling only three of them for 18.9 million yen ($229,000) each for New Year and is accepting orders until Oct 11.

It is certainly the most expensive ever sold by the historic department store, according to Megumi Ashizuka, a Takashimaya spokeswoman.

If more than three people apply, the department store said it will choose the buyers by a lucky draw.

The Most Expensive Blog (The home of the most expensive & luxury things in the world) presents Australia unveils world’s largest gold coin.

Australia has unveiled the world’s largest gold coin, weighing a massive 1,000 kg, to mark the visit of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Perth Mint produced it in time for the Queen’s visit to Western Australia for the Commonwealth heads of government meeting.

The coin has a kangaroo on one side and the Queen’s profile on the other. It is nearly 80 cm in diameter and 12 cm thick.

Australia’s coin is 99.99 percent pure and has a nominal value of $1 million Australian (US$1,061,000). The gold itself is worth more than $50 million Australian.

The Australian coin is five times heavier than the world’s previous largest gold coin, made by the Royal Canadian Mint (pictured below), the BBC reported.

The Most Expensive Blog (The home of the most expensive & luxury things in the world) presents Most expensive cars to insure in 2011.

Mercedes SL65 AMG

The most expensive vehicle to insure in 2011 is the Mercedes SL65 AMG roadster that boasts an average annual national premium of $3,629.11 (that’s the price if you’ve been a squeaky clean driver with no speeding tickets or previous car insurance claims). On the bottom of the list is the Chrysler Town & Country LX that comes in at a much more affordable annual national premium of $1,091.80.

So why is the Town & Country only a third of what the SL65 AMG comes in at? “Family vehicles driven by soccer moms aren’t as likely to get into crashes as flashier sporty models,” says Russ Rader, a spokesperson for the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Highway Loss Data Institute.”Soccer-mom vehicles are driven by people who are generally not driving aggressively, aren’t speeding and often aren’t driving during peak commuting hours.”

Here is the list of the top 10 most expensive cars to insure in 2011:

10. Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG ($3,086.49)

9. Aston Martin DB9 Volante ($3,088.96

8. Porsche 911 Carrera S ($3,092.31)

7. Mercedes-Benz CL600 ($3,114.28)

6. Aston Martin DB9 ($3,120.45)
